Experiencing Life to the Full

For so many today life just doesn’t seem to work. The world around us makes no sense, our personal lives are filled with conflict, and our hearts yearn more for escaping this world than for enjoying it. Jesus saw this same disillusionment in his society and he shocked his listeners by offering what he called, “life to the full” in John 10:10. As you embark on this eight-week study you will discover what Jesus has to offer. “Life to the Full” is not an existence where we merely allow life to happen to us, “Life to the Full” is an adventure where we take the world by the horns and experience all the wonder and excitement and splendor God has laid out before us. Sound too good to be true? Well it’s not; it’s what Jesus has been offering to us weary life travelers for centuries. So pack your knapsack and get ready, you will need faith, honest evaluation, courage and a commitment to keep walking, but Jesus promises, you will find what you’re looking for – you can live “Life to the Full”.

January 05, 2008 – “Valley Road”

In “Valley Road” we will see that each of us have a hole in our beings. It is that something we yearn for, that something we feel will complete us or give us wholeness. In this study you will see and perhaps even relate to the search a King embarked on trying to find out what that missing piece is.

January 12, 2008 – “Filling the God-Shaped Hole”

God designed each of us as complex beings. We are emotional/intellectual and physical beings. What we need to see is that there is a third side to our beings as well, a spiritual side. In this study “Filling the God-Shaped Hole”, we will learn how the give birth to the spiritual side in our lives.

January 19, 2008 – “New Marching Orders”

Each of us live by a set of beliefs, desires and priorities we have picked up somewhere I our lives, these have become our “Marching Orders”. If we are to live “life to the full” our “marching orders” had better be orders that will lead us to victory and success. In this lesson we will investigate what Gods marching orders are and where we will have to do some serious reorganization.

February 02, 2008 – “Lose the Baggage”

Each of us have a sack we carry on our backs, it is a sack filled with terribly heavy things that we have experienced in our past. Inside this lesson we will recognize the chains that keep us tied to the old dysfunctional life we have been living. And we will see the freedom that comes from losing our baggage.

February 09, 2008 – “Calm in the Storm”

Adventures are not strolls up beaches or dances through wildflower meadows. No, adventures include struggle, hardship and challenge. If we are to live “Life to the full” we will need to know how the look at and traverse these times. We will see that though the storm violently whips around us, there is a calm at the eye of the storm where we can dwell.

February 16, 2008 – “Recognize Blessings”

God have given us so much, unfortunately we do not take the time to inventory all we have. Prosperity comes in many shapes and sizes and God is not lax in pouring out his blessings and riches on us. The key is recognizing them.

February 23, 2008 – “Attitude is Everything”

Sustaining “Life to the full” will require us to do some serious attitude adjustment. Our society has done a tremendous job of convincing us we need more, deserve more and can get more. We need to see what it means to live in contentment and identify negative attitudes that will sabotage contentment.

March 08, 2008 – “Kingdom First”

As we close our study we will investigate Jesus instruction to live for eternal rewards rather than the here and now. “Life to the full” reaches far beyond our earthly existence and allows us opportunity to establish never ending treasure.
